ISO 9001 is a quality assurance model made up of 20 sets of quality system requirements. This model applies to organizations that design, develop, produce, install, and service products. ISO expects organizations to apply this model, and to meet these requirements, by developing a quality system. 

Gemtor’s quality policy is “Quality Products on Time” and they have developed a quality system and quality manual designed to support this policy.  According to Gemtor’s President, Craig Neustater, “ We have always had a strict quality control system, but the additional structure of the ISO 9001 registration has helped us to improve our on time delivery to greater than 99% and customer satisfaction to 98%.
