Suspension Trauma Relief Straps

This device is designed to help a worker avoid the negative effect of hanging in a harness known as Suspenstion Trauma or Orthostatic Intolerance. This condition can occur when a person remains suspended after a fall (even for short periods of time). Suspension in a harness may cause blood to pool in the veins of the legs which can result in unconsciousness, if not rescued promptly, serious injury or death may occur. The Trauma Relief Strap is designed to help prevent suspension trauma while a worker is awaiting rescue. The Trauma Relief Strap allows for a suspended worker to stand up in the strap to relieve the pressure being applied to the arteries and veins in the upper legs. The strap's design allows the worker to have either one or both feet in the loop at a time or have two separaste loops, one for each leg.

Convertible NFPA Class II / III Harness

Features & Benefits:

This Gemtor harness offers a combination of all of the great features found on our Class II harnesses shown below, including a fixed front waist strap, front adjustments on the leg straps and easy-to-connect hardware. The A-frame includes a sliding D-ring to attach a personal escape system and a triple action aluminum carabiner. The harness is constructed with sturdy 1¾" wide nylon webbing that is stitched with high strength nylon thread.

One unique feature is the "Hybrid" style leg strap configuration which combines the benefits of our Class II harnesses with the wrap around leg strap from a rescue harness. The harness also has attachment points at the sternum, two  (2) on the A-frame (also called the handle) and a rear dorsal attachment point. All attachment points have been tested and are rated to NFPA, OSHA and ANSI standards.

The Gemtor 543NYC is a one-of-a-kind multi-functional harness that allows a user to convert from a Class II fire service harness to a Class III harness in seconds. It provides the user with excellent mobility and functionality in situations such as attaching to a ladder or apparatus bucket, a means of lowering one’s self, a means of lowering others, use with an escape system, as a rescuer, to rescue a wearer, and more.

Class II (base) harness and Class III Conversion are sold separately, see Model #s below.

This UL Certified ladder/escape belts can be used as a positioning device when on a ladder and as an emergency self-rescue device. It can also be used as an anchor tie-off.  Belt is made of high strength 1 3/4" wide nylon webbing with a 3" wide durable nylon web back pad and is lock stitched with high tenacity nylon thread. Adjustable for waist sizes from 32" to 54". Available with steel or aluminum (shown) 3-stage locking carabiner with 2" side opening gate.

Introducing Gemtor’s updated single/multi span horizontal lifeline system.  This system is the perfect choice for bridge and building construction.  Designed for quick and easy mounting to structural I-Beams, this complete kit includes everything you need to protect your workers while working/walking at heights.  Each system can be used on a span of up to 60 ft. and multiple systems can be connected together and/or intermediates can be added to cover greater spans.  Mounting bolts located on the top side of the stanchion base make mounting to beam safer and easier than competitive models, zinc plated chain and quick insert pins save time and increase durability.  Stanchions are extremely strong yet lightweight and mount on the beam at an angle to keep the lifeline out of the worker’s way. New intermediate add-on stanchions allow continuous runs of up to 180 ft.
